Is it better to buy a packaged computer, or have one pieced together?

This answer will vary depending on your needs. A packaged computer (brand name computers bought fully assembled and ready to use) will usually cost a bit less, as the building company buys the parts in bulk and gets a discount. However it is our experience that the parts used are not of the highest quality, again to ensure a low cost. When they advertise their computers they post impressive and large numbers, but the posted numbers often do not give a full representation of the computer you are buying.

If you decide to have a computer custom built to your needs, we only choose high quality for each and every part that goes into your computer. Does this mean a slightly higher cost? Yes, but we believe you get what you pay for. We have yet to receive a service call for a part that was put into our custom built computers.

What warranty is provided with a custom computer?

Each part we choose for your computer comes with a minimum of 1 year manufacturers warranty, with others ranging from 2-5 years, even lifetime (Kingston memory provides a 100% Lifetime Guarantee). We do not keep a stock of parts and we do not purchase used parts to install in a computer, meaning a warranty will be applicable to each part.

What do you have to do when purchasing a custom computer?

If you decide to purchase a custom computer through us, we ensure you are fully taken care of. We will analyze your specific needs and ensure the computer you are buying will exceed them. Once the needs are understood we will provide different options for you to make a decision.

Once we have received your order, we will pick up the individual parts and assemble the computer. We will install the operating system and anti virus, along with the applicable updates downloaded from the Internet. The computer will be running smoothly before it enters your door, allowing us to drop it off and set it up in as little time as possible. We will give you a quick walk through if required to help you get started.
